π Overview & Study Guide
This algebra and coordinate readiness diagnostic samples skills that support the function-based work of precalculus: solving linear equations, factoring, finding basic quadratic solutions, reading inequalities, locating points and interpreting straight lines. It includes an actual coordinate diagram alongside symbolic and verbal questions, so the results can distinguish difficulties with algebraic rules from difficulties with representations.
Work without a calculator where possible and record a short reason for each answer. Single-answer questions and select-all questions check different aspects of understanding. Complete the attempt before studying the explanations. An unfamiliar topic is useful information about where to begin; it is not a reason to delay learning or a failed admission test.
Afterwards, group mistakes by skill. Review equation solving for balance or identity errors, factoring for structural errors, quadratics for missing solutions, inequalities for endpoint or sign errors, and coordinate geometry for axis or slope confusion. The questions sample readiness rather than certify mastery. Use the relevant foundation lessons for repair, then attempt fresh problems to check whether the reasoning transfers.
