Circles and coordinate constraints
Use the distance idea to connect circle equations, centers, radii and coordinate constraints. This foundation practice develops standard form before introducing expanded equations and restricted parts of a circle.
Questions address point membership, completing both squares, distinguishing a circle from a single point or an empty real locus, recovering a circle from diameter endpoints, and selecting the correct branch of a restricted semicircle. Tangent constructions and general three-point circles are reserved for later study.
Prerequisites include distance and midpoint, square roots and completing the square. Single-select and multiselect tasks combine conceptual understanding, calculation and interpretation. For multiselect questions, evaluate every statement independently and select the complete supported subset.
The authored bank moves from introductory reasoning to applications and error analysis. Questions remain self-contained because delivery order can vary. Work on paper first, use each explanation to check the method as well as the result, and revisit a prerequisite when the same error recurs. This foundation practice supports later precalculus work without claiming mastery from a score alone.
